We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as Locality Manager (Property Services) based from either our Dorset or Exeter offices.
You'll combine some office and home working in line with our hybrid approach. You'll need to travel across our geography when required so you should be happy to travel and have access to transport. This opportunity will be covering our Devon and Dorset localities.
The Role
You will be accountable for leadership and delivery of a customer centric, high quality, value for money, property repairs, improvements, projects and maintenance services. The delivery will be through a mixture of an inhouse workforce and sub-contractors and main contractors and may also use external consultants to assist. You will need to ensure that all works are undertaken in a competent and safe manner with our customers and the centre of everything we do.
You will be working closely with the Property Services Director and the Assistant Director of Localities, this role is responsible for delivering our corporate plan, achieving our operational and financial goals, performance targets, customer satisfaction standards, in-keeping with regulatory, legislative and industry best practice within a locality.
What you'll need
- Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary customer focused team in a large and complex organisation.
- Proven experience within housing, property repairs, improvements, projects and maintenance services.
- Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks to SNG.
- Able to analyse business information and formulate metrics that deliver permanent or consolidated progress.
- Exhibit strategic thinking, commercial acumen and values driven behaviours to fulfil our ambitious corporate plan and customer impact, asset and home & place strategies at both a locality and ‘SNG wide' level.
- Ability to inspire, support and develop others to optimise their performance.
- Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation with focus on compliance within all activities undertaken by the teams. Setting and maintaining high levels of safe working practices across all areas of services in line with Health and Safety legislation and CDM.
- We encourage the membership of a professional body – CIH (Chartered Institute of Housing) or equivalent
